End of Course Exams

In addition to course credits, students will earn points toward graduation on seven end-of-the course exams. These exams will replace the Ohio Graduation Tests. The courses in which students take an end-of-course exam will be: English I and II, Algebra I, Geometry, Integrated Math I and II, Biology, American History and American Government. Students can earn from 1-5 points for each exam, based on their performance. With few exceptions, students must accumulate a minimum of 18 points from scores on their end of course exams to become eligible for a diploma. To ensure the student is well rounded, they must earn a minimum of four points in Math, four points in English and six points across Science and Social Studies.
